The Independent Journal of Teaching and Learning (IJTL) issue 17, volume 1 has been published and can be accessed, free of charge, on the IJTL website.
The Independent Journal of Teaching and Learning is the only DHET accredited journal that is owned by a Private Higher Education Institution in South Africa. This makes The Independent Institute of Education (SA's largest and most accredited private higher education provider) unique as it drives the importance of disseminating scientific research focused on teaching and learning aspects within both the primary, secondary and tertiary education sectors.
The DHET “Local Journals Rule” states that at least 75% of contributions published must emanate from multiple institutions. This volume has 10 articles. The demand for publishing in The IIE's journal is growing, with both national and international researchers showing interest.
The Independent Journal of Teaching and Learning is an education-focused journal, aimed at making a difference for educators at primary, secondary and tertiary levels. Providing a scholarly forum for academics and education practitioners to share research on teaching and learning. The IJTL publishes original contributions of interest to researchers and practitioners in the field of education. The IJTL is intended to be a resource for education practitioners and researchers as it aims to provide useful, research-based resources and provide a scholarly forum for academics and education practitioners to share in research on educational practices and teaching and learning at various levels.
