WHY YOUR CHOICE ABOUT WHAT TO STUDY AND WHERE WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE DOWN THE LINE

Graduating is one thing. Successfully making the transition from student to employee is another. So how do you ensure that you can make the leap?

Step 1 is to choose very carefully what you are going to study and where, because there are many options, from public university to private institutions, but not all of them will provide you with the same tools and skills which will make you optimally employable. One place that absolutely will, is The Independent Institute of Education’s Rosebank College.

Two of their amazing alumni share their stories of success:

KAMOHELO graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration this year, and landed her dream position BEFORE she even graduated.

“I honestly do not know how to show my appreciation to the IIE Rosebank College Career Center team,” she says.

“During my third year I was still undecided about what I’m going to do after graduating, I didn’t know where to start. I was aware of a career center on campus, like most students, but I didn’t make time to find out what it was all about.

“Eventually I was invited to a coaching session, and little did I know that the session would change my life. The coaching session was very informative and prepared me for the world of work. I was given interview tips, how to construct my CV, how to present myself and how to deal with challenges that may occur in the workplace.

“Rosebank College has given me a solid foundation to my career and the team should continue with changing lives.”

TSHEPO received a Diploma in Information Technology Management, from The Independent Institute of Education’s Rosebank College, and is now working at another leading IIE brand, Varsity College.

“I completed my Diploma in 2018 and attended the Graduate Empowerment Program, which gave me the necessary skills to help me land a part time job as a sales consultant within Rosebank College while I was still a student, for student registration at the sales department, he says.

“After completing my qualification, the Career Center remained in contact with me and the information provided during the career coaching session helped with my Varsity College interview which took place in April 2019. After a successful interview, I received the good news on my appointment.”

BEFORE SIGNING UP, ASK YOURSELF: WILL MY UNIVERSITY GIVE ME MORE THAN ACADEMIC AND THEORETICAL GROUNDING? HOW WILL MY STUDY CHOICE TRANSLATE INTO CAREER SUCCESS?
IF YOU CAN'T ANSWER THAT, IT IS TIME TO SPEAK TO SA's LARGEST AND MOST ACCREDITED PRIVATE HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION, The Independent Institute of Education, AND GET THE BEST ADVICE TO MAKE YOUR DREAM CAREER A REALITY.
