New Title

Looking to explore your study and career opportunities in hospitality? South Africa’s premier hospitality school – The IIE School of Hospitality & Service Management – will be holding its first Open Day at its new Cape Town premises on Saturday, May 28, from 08h00 to 12h30.

IIE HSM is a brand of The Independent Institute of Education, SA's largest and most accredited private higher education provider. See their webpage for further open days in future.

Earlier this year, The IIE’s School of Hospitality and Service Management relocated to The IIE Varsity College’s prestigious new Cape Town campus, housed at the Newlands Cricket Grounds. The move sees both students and staff sharing space and facilities with The IIE Varsity College and benefitting from the progressive, purpose-built campus which has quickly become part of the vibrant Southern Suburbs establishment.

Only 30 minutes from the city centre, the new campus, which currently hosts more than 4500 students, offers a vibrant, dynamic and multi-cultured environment, situated in a neighbourhood that buzzes with student life all year round.

The school – started under the auspices of the Independent Institute of Education (IIE), Africa’s leading provider of private higher education and is internationally accredited by the British Accreditation Council (BAC) – affords students the opportunity to participate in an immersive hospitality-centric and management academic programme that delivers a rich experiential and applied learning pathway.

There is a great need in Africa for academically trained hospitality professionals particularly when one considers that many executive positions in the African hospitality industry are not filled by those from the continent.

The IIE Higher Certificate in Hospitality Management is a full-time one-year course which also creates a pathway to enrol for the IIE degree. The IIE Bachelor of Hospitality Management is a three-year degree course. Both qualifications meet international standards and are available via distance learning.

For more information go to https://www.iiehsm.com/. The IIE School of Hospitality & Service Management’s Cape Town campus is at Quadrant Building, 146 Campground Road, Newlands, 7700.
